THE ROCHDALE CANAL has had another paddle failure.
This time the failure is on Lock 6, Keith Gudgin reports.
Another failure
This follows another failure this month on the 1st of this month on Lock 20 of the waterway, that has since been repaired.
We are not told of the actual problem with the paddle, only that it is out of action, on Saturday the 13th.
But it is added that trust;s team will attend site to assess the fault and determine the extent of the required repairs.
Calder & Hebble Navigation
The Calder & Hebble Navigation is another waterway that has been closed twice this month.
Salterhebble Bottom Lock 3 (pictured) is closed as the guillotine gates have a problem and were stuck yesterday, Sunday.
It was also reported as stuck in the upright position on Wednesday of last week, but not told if this is reporting the same stoppage or a new one!
