THE FAULT ON DIGLIS LARGE LOCK has now been identified.
A specialist contractor was called in as the fault on Diglis Large Lock on the Severn could not be identified, Keith Gudgin reports.
This has now been identified, but time is required before the contractor can begin work.
However, a specialist contractor will be required to carry out the necessary works.
In the meantime navigation through the lock has stopped.
Rochdale Canal
There has been no intimation concerning the navigation closure on the Rochdale.
This was caused by lack water between Lock 20 and Lock 24 we were told was due to a boater operational error, that resulted in the pounds having low water levels.
