THE DISCONNECTED PADDLE on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is still keeping the navigation closed.
This occurred on the 14th April, Keith Gudgin reports.
This has closed the navigation from Lock 65 and Lock 85 on the Wigan Flight.
The trust telling the navigation remains closed due to a disconnected paddle at lock 70.
Planned a method of repair
The team has now managed to successfully planned a method of repair.
However this requires special parts with the team now waiting on these parts being manufactured.
It is expected that further information will be available next week, and in the meantime the navigation remains closed.
