THERE HAS BEEN A FURTHER navigation closed by a broken paddle.
This time it is on the Lee & Stort Navigation, Keith Gudgin reports.
The broken paddle is on Aqueduct Lock 8, that has closed the navigation, and is the second paddle closing this navigation as Tednambury Lock also suffers a broken paddle.This making three broken paddles trhis month already.
Paddle and rod missing
But this time we are advised that it is a paddle and rod that are missing from a gate on the lock.
But a new paddle and bolts are planned to be fitted this week, so the navigation should soon be reopened, and any boats held up able to pass through.
The paddle and rod are missing from bottom towpath side gate of Aqueduct Lock.
