A TEENAGE GIRL has been allegedly raped and sexually assaulted just off the towpath of the Coventry Canal.
The police tell that two teenagers have been charged, Keith Gudgin reports.
At the time both Longford Bridge 10, the canal and towpath were cordoned off with navigation stopped through the bridge.
This occurred on Sunday 15th March.
Charge with rape and sexual assault
A 17 years old has been charged with rape and an 18 years old has been charged with sexual assault.
They are due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on the 15th April.
Coventry Police told it had charged two teenagers after a 17 years old girl was sexually assaulted and raped in the Rowleys Green area of Coventry.
