THE NEW TRENT WATERSIDE BRIDGE is now in position over the river.
With the bridge connecting the Trent Basin on one side of the river with Lady Bay on the other side, Janet Friend reports.

New staircases
The new staircases and ramped approaches form part of the bridge’s access infrastructure, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to move between the bridge deck and the surrounding riverside paths including its towpath.
The bridge will provide a new link between the two banks of the Trent, connecting the proposed Waterside development, as featured, on one side of the river with the Trent Bridge and the City Football Ground on the other side.
