MARSH LOCK, THAT WAS CLOSED on the 12th September last year, is repaired.

marsh lock weaverSo boats at last will have a way off and on to the Weaver, Keith Gudgin reports.

But now, the trust tell that the lock is repaired and functional, but even then it also tells that its teams are currently awaiting delivery of, and training on, the powered windlass which will assist with future operations.

Not until 27th March

It should be in place ahead of the first planned passages but not until 27th March, and bookings must be made, but are now open and customers can reserve a slot online or by contacting the Customer Services team.

And there are still restrictions, with bookings from 13th April will only be available only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The trust advises that development of the longer‑term electrical refurbishment is continuing as a separate project, which we expect will not impact navigation when works begin later this year.
