THE POLICE ARE are appealing for any information of a man who threw live kittens into the Erewash Canal.
He was seen throwing a number of live kittens into the water from the Long Eaton bridge on Monday.
A member of Derbyshire Police told that a member of the public rescued three kittens and reported it to the police, who then rescued another.
Only one lived
But only one lived with it being treated by vets who remark it was expected to make a full recovery.
The police are urging anyone with any information who saw the incident to come forward.
