LOCK 82 AT MILES PLATTING on the Rochdale Canal still remains closed.
It was a loose lock cill on the lock that closed it on the 5th March it then preventing gate operation.
It was on Monday 9th March that we are told the trust's local team attended site to carry out an investigation.
Developing a repair plan
It is now developing a repair plan for the cill.
The navigation is closed between Butler Street Lock 81 and Brownsfield Lock 83.
There is no intimation when work will start on the repair/replacement of the cill.
