THE OBSTRUCTION ON THE Staffs & Worcs Canal discovered on the 31st December is still stopping navigation.
Penkridge Lock 38 on the Staffs & Worcs Canal had been closed due to an obstruction. Keith Gudgin reports.
The trust tells it is continuing to investigate the cause of the issue and to assess the works required to address it.
Appropriate solution
And when this has been been identified, it advises that it will be able to 'design an appropriate solution and confirm the anticipated timescales for completion'.
In the meantime the navigation is closed.
The trust recognises the importance of this route for local residents and businesses.
