ANOTHER LOCK BEAM has broken off stopping navigation.
This following on the one on the Northampton Arm (pictured), Keith Gudgin reports.
This time it is the beam on Healthy Lock 52 on the Kennet & Avon Canal.
Broken at quoin post
It is the upstream towpath side lock beam that has perished and broken at the quoin post.
This has made the lock inoperable, but told the trust's engineers and team will be on site this morning to look at repairs.
