REFERING OF COURSE to Wrenbury Lift Bridge, that Canal & River Trust believe is a swing bridge.
It told on the 8th of this month that the 'swing bridge' on the Llangollen Canal would be closed on the 13th to the 14th inclusive of this month, Keith Gudgin reports.
But now comes a notice that it is still closed—on the 9th!
Causes great problems
This bridge seems to cause great problems for the trust, with not only getting its dates wrong, telling that it is not closed until the 13th yet now telling on the 9th that it is still closed.
But every boater who has worked this bridge on the Llangollen Canal knows it is a lift bridge and certainly not a swing bridge as the trust insist upon calling it.
