THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FACILITY at Braunston Stop House is closed.
As it does not meet the requirements of the Simpler Recycling legislation, Keith Gudgin reports.
This Grand Union Canal facility was recently closed to boaters but it now seems it is a permanent closure.
With Canal & River Trust informing boaters:
Not possible to update
'Unfortunately, it has not been possible to update the Customer Service Facility refuse site at Braunston Stop House to meet the requirements of the government's Simpler Recycling legislation. The site is therefore now closed'.
The trust asks boaters not to leave rubbish here as no further collections are arranged.
