RIVER CANAL RESCUE has extended the deadline for its story-telling competition.

This will now extend to 31st May, giving boaters more time to submit an entry about ‘life on the cut’.

Relate to boating

The story—a maximum of 700 words and three photosmust relate to boating over the past 25 years and can be funny, dramatic etc, as long as it reflects a ‘real life’ experience.

First prize is £700 towards a CRT licence, and £300 and £200 chandlery vouchers will be given to the second and third-placed entries.

Celebrate 25 years

The competition, launched in March, is to celebrate 25 years of River Canal Rescue supporting the boating community. With entries gaining momentum, managing director, Stephanie Horton, felt more people should be given the chance to enter.

The winners will be announced at RCR’s 25th anniversary celebration event on 8th June.
