All finished by the end of the month at Hollowforth Aqueduct

BY THE END of this month all will be finished on the work following the breach on the Hollowforth Aqueduct on the Lancaster Canal.

Navigation was opened last week but there is still work to complete, Keith Gudgin reports.

This relates to the reinstatement of the towpath where the trust will be installing new fencing and hand railing around the access steps and towpath to ensure the area is safe and accessible.

Final works

Once in place, the final works to the towpath will be undertaken.

Then by Monday 31st March the entire undertaking will be complete to the breach that closed the aqueduct in July of last year.
