Severn debris all cleared from bridge

THE DEBRIS that piled against the Severn bridge in Worcester has been cleared.
The Canal & River Trust workers cleared it all away last Thursday with the help of a crane and barges to take it away, Janet Friend reports.
It was on Saturday the 23rd November after heavy rains that caused the debris to pile-up that the picture was taken but there have been more adding to it in the meantime.
Not such an effect
The Severn was hit by flooding in October but that did not have such an effect as that shown.
However, we have reports that again debris is piling-up against the bridge after the high winds have brought down more branches and the like and the downpour has the river in flood yet again over the past few days.
