In cloud cuckoo land!

WE ARE getting quite a few, but rather short, emails concerning that the leaving of gates open is causing low water levels.

But as this is getting rather well publicised, here's one that just about sums it up, with contributor Bill Ridgeway writing:

Is of course correct

"The statement: leaving any set of gates—top or bottom—left open cannot possibly 'cause low water levels' is, of course correct.

"IF they are both in good repair. Leave a leaky gate closed and it is as good as being open. There are no leaky gates in cloud cuckoo land!"

That just about sums it up.
