Call-outs for boats with problems

RIVER Canal Rescue tell us that it responded to 3335 call-outs last year.

To assist with such as electrical, fuel, engine problems, flat batteries, overheating and gearbox failures.

But the majority of replacement part call-outs were due to damp getting into electrical components, though many were caused simply by old age!

On the same day

The company boasts that it responds to 90% of the call-outs the same day, as the mobile engineers carry a large amount of spares, but there are times when special parts have to be ordered so jobs can take longer.

It is River Canal Rescue that gets boats out of locks that have been caught on the cill, something that is happening all too often.
