THE new marine algae cleaner chemical from Acute Build Clean is environmentally friendly and marine-safe.

And on numerous occasions it has be proven to limit re-growth of algae infestations better than using sodium hypochlorite and it is ideal as a boat hull cleaner for narrowboats and yachts.

AcuteBuildCleanNon-hazardous

It is perfect for ridding steps, quaysides, masonry waterfront walls, and slipways of marine algae and green growth. With a normal dilution ratio of 1:10 this product is classified as non-hazardous to the marine environment and it contains no biocides, bleach or acids, is non-toxic and food-safe, users need no PPE in normal use.

The combination of powerful non-biocide cleaner chemicals acts as an algae remover and breaks down the bonds of seaweeds, algae, and marine growth on the substrate. This cleaner works by breaking surface tension holding algae and dirt to the substrate and lifting it off for rinsing instead of killing the algae.

Especially effective on concrete and stone surfaces in marinas and harbours. The marine algae cleaner is sold as concentrate in 5 litre or 20 litre containers and would normally dilute 1 part concentrate to 10 parts water. It can be supplied in 200 litre and 1000 litre IBC containers.

No EA permit needed

When used as directed this product does not need an Environment Agency environmental permit for a Water Discharge Activity issued under the Environmental Permitting Regulations.

As the product is non-biocidal it also adheres to HSE guidelines for chemicals that land up in the sea or may cause chemical burns to humans. It is available from Acute Build Clean—see website.
