Who is doing what on the Rochdale?

IT WAS on the 14th of this month that the Rochdale Canal was closed to navigation at locks 5 and 6.

The reason being low water, Keith Gudgin reports.

But only now, nearly a week later, we are told 'the team' will not be on site for another week—the 30th of August.

A new description

And a new description for it—boaters being told 'Our team will be on-site next week to assess the issue and implement a repair plan'.

But how long that will take is not given, only that it is non-navigable. Then confusedly we are told contractors have been informed and will investigate the issue further,

It's all very confusing indeed.
