Still a stoppage a day

JULY still saw a stoppage a day during the month.
34 stoppage in fact, so three spare, but not reaching June's figure of a terrible 39 stoppages during the month.
Two already
But not starting too well for August, with already two yesterday, The 1st, that Keith Gudgin reports.
The Grand Union is closed at Lock 8 at Marsworth with the usual reason of 'due to damage to lock gate and lock gate failure'.
And that is all we are told about that.
North Stratford
The North Stratford is closed by the failure of Shirley Drawbridge 8 at Solihull.
This time we are simply told that there is a fault with the bridge and the navigation is closed.
As a 'local team' is attending we can perhaps hope for a quick repair.
