Teenager stabbed on Northampton Arm towpath

THE police cordoned off a large section of the Northampton Arm towpath on Sunday.

This is the result of a teenager being stabbed on the towpath in what the police tell was a 'targeted attack'.

Flown to hospital

The male teenager was discovered seriously injured and flown to hospital in a helicopter that had landed in a nearby field.

This occured on Sunday evening 21st July with the towpath closed most of the following day, with many police in attendance and the area being guarded at both ends of the towpath closure.
