New Trent bridge gets planning permission

A NEW footbridge over the Trent has received planning permission.

This will span the river in Nottingham Janet Friend reports.

Final decision

The final decision was taken by Rushcliffe Borough Council after the planning application was made by Nottingham City Council, but Rushcliffe had to approve the decision as it crosses into its boundary.

It is a pedestrian and cycle bridge that will link the city with Hook Nature Reserve in Lady Bay in Rushcliffe.

The plans are described as sustainable, accessible and exciting by Nottingham City Council. There is no information as to when work will start or its cost.
