Stratford River Festival returns
THE Stratford River Festival is back this year.
It was way back in 2019 that the river festival last took place, but now the street market operator, LSD Promotions announced on Friday that the festival will be back over three days from Friday, 5th July to Sunday, 7th July, Roger Fox reports.
Lost for five years
The event did not continue after Covid, and was lost for five years, but the decision has been made to restore the very popular event.
The festival will take place on the recreation ground and river commencing at 1pm on Friday, closing at 9pm; then 10am to 9pm on Saturday; and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
There will be activities over the three days including live local bands, food and drink, artisan craft stalls, and a parade of narrowboats, together with river trips on the Avon..
Continuous entertainment
There will be continuous entertainment main stage performances throughout the weekend, which will include a variety of bands being featured.
We are told the event has been sorely missed by locals and visitors alike, and its return is eagerly anticipated.
