Environment Agency warn of flooded Trent

THE Environment Agency has this morning issued a warning that flooding is possible for the Trent.
This is along its entire length from Castle Donington to Cromwell Weir.
River levels rising
River levels are rising at the Colwick river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today, Friday, through to tomorrow, Saturday.
The agency expects that river levels will remain high until the weekend and warning that its incident response staff are patrolling water courses in the area.
Boating is not recommended as the river is dangerous in flood.
