Could not manage to repair Rochdale Guillotine Lock

THOUGH a little late in the trust telling, the Rochdale Guillotine Lock (19) that was due for repair to start yesterday, Thursday, could not be undertaken.

The work was to be done between Thursday 18th January and Friday 19th. January. But due to unforeseen circumstances the works have had to be postponed.

Work more effectively

The work was to remove the lock tail paddles to re-fix them to the paddle frames to make them work more effectively ahead of the new summer season.

It is estimated that the repair will eventually take seven days.
