All it tells when reporting the closure of locks 1 to 6 is 'Reason: Vandalism', Keith Gudgin reports.
Vandals blamed
Most boaters must be aware that vandals are blamed for many stoppages these days, yet there are usually details given, mainly about paddles left open, after all, the somewhat solid gates can't leave much scope for vandals. But this time, nothing.
What however there is scope for is the complete lack of maintenance causing so many problems.
