Festival with unusual attractions

THERE are many unusual attractions this year at Tapton Lock Festival.

This family festival, run by Derbyshire County Council’s Countryside Service, takes place on the Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of September.

Taking place at Tapton Lock on the Chesterfield Canal this is free entry and is open from 10am to 4pm.

There will be some unusual attractions at the event including Babbling Vagabonds, African drummer, Bollywood dancers and a magic market stall.

Also an Arts & Crafts workshop, climbing wall, have-a-go canoes and circus skills, all making it a most attractive event.

Cruises

During the two days Chesterfield Canal Trust will be running short cruises on the restored section of the waterway on John Varley ll.

It's promotional trailer, James Brindley, will also be in attendance.
