THE 'potential breach' on the Stratford South Canal has had a temporary fix.
This means that the canal is now reopened for navigation, Keith Gudgin reports.
Canal & River Trust state that its Reactive Response Team worked through the night and were able to put a fix in place to be able to reopen the waterway.
Plugging the site
However, this is only plugging the site of the potential breach, so it will have to be permanently fixed at a later date.
The waterway was closed last Sunday the 6th when the problem was noticed and the navigation closed.
