Now it's minimal information

INSTEAD of the normal information concerning the Oxford Canal closure it is kept to a minimum.

Boaters are just told 'structure failure' and nothing else reports Keith Gudgin.

This is regarding the failure of Lock 13, but  not even told the lock is on Napton Flight and with no reason given for the failure or how caused.

Quick work

The failure occurred on Saturday and was completed quickly by Sunday, the following day, just being told 'repair completed'.

So obviously not completed by contractors but by Canal & River Trust's own workforce.
