THE repair has been completed around the site of the leak between locks 13E and 1E on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
The water levels have recovered and the navigation reopened.
Damaged cill
However, a damaged cill has been discovered on Lock 25W at Dobcross, with the 'local team' having been to the site to investigate.
The Dingle Flight is now closed to navigation.
A method of repair is being organised, with the navigation remaining closed between locks 13E and 1E.
