No River Festival for Stratford this year

IT HAS been confirmed that the Stratford Festival will not be happening in 2023, writes Roger Fox.

This was something foreseen by narrowboatworld a few weeks ago.

Spearheading a campaign

Now that business group Stratford BID have abandoned the River Festival, local newspaper The Stratford Herald is spearheading a campaign to save it for the future, and hope that it can be revived in 2024 which would mark the 60th. anniversary of the re-opening of the Southern Stratford Canal by The Queen Mother in 1964.
