Maud's Swing Bridge fails again

IT WAS just over two months ago that Maud's Swing Bridge on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal failed.

The bridge has failed again, though it will be opened for one hour from 10am tomorrow, Tuesday, to allow the waiting boat traffic through, Keith Gudgin reports.

Non operational

We are informed that the swing bridge is 'damaged and non operational'.

As it needs a 'comprehensive repair' to be completed by the contractor and there is the possibility of more openings, it appears to be a protracted job.

LATEST: The swing bridge is now operational again.
