Audlem now re-opened

THE Canal & River Trust have completed the repair to Lock 2 on the Audlem Flight.

The flight was re-opened on Saturday, with the many boats being cleared, Keith Gudgin reports.

Assisted through locks

Boater Clem Foster tells us there were around 40 boats altogether waiting to use the flight and were assisted through the locks by volunteers.

The work was completed by a free floating scaffold 'to assist the lifting of the cill buffer from within the chamber', with it being  secured in place.
