Another Kennet & Avon Lock fails—and repaired.

Another lock on the Kennet & Avon Canal has failed.
Hard on the heels of the failure of Southcote Lock (104) on the Kennet & Avon comes the information that Guyer's Lock (84) at Newbury is now out of action.The usual reason is given that this 'is due to damage', Keith Gudgin reports.
Intend to work today
Contractors were on site yesterday but unable to undertake a repair so intend to work on the lock today, Monday.
There has been no intimation that Southcote Lock is yet operational. This failure was blamed on boat damage, but no paritculars were given.
