Two boys with a rifle on the Trent

THE police were called after two boys in an inflatable boat were spotted on the Trent with an air rifle.

The police caught the boys and they were detained and their parents were called to the police station.

This occurred on Wednesday morning at around 10am in Newark after members of the public reported seeing the boys with the rifle, who it is believe were shooting.

A member of  Nottinghamshire Police told that they were detained following a call from concerned members of the public and their parents were called to collect them, with officers continuing with their investigation and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
