Man still not found

THE man who went missing on Christmas Even, and was last seen by Tapton Lock on the Chesterfield Canal, has still not been found.

Alan Tennant was walking home to Clowne from Chesterfield, as he had done in the past, with him last seen on CCTV by the lock, and though officers from the Derbyshire Police Uniformed Task Force that have been searching both the river and canal, that run side by side by the lock, there is still no trace of him.

An employee at Tesco at Clowne, where he worked, told Jackie McKenzie, that he had not been found, but owing to the state of the area of the search with snow and ice, the search had been called off.

As previously stated in NbW, his disappearance has shocked his family and friends, who have joined the police in the search, with posters asking the public to help.
