Erewash Canal towpath body identified

THE body of the man discovered on the Erewash Canal towpath in Long Eaton has been identified.

It was on Friday 5th March that a shocked walker discovered the body of a man on the towpath of the canal, he immediately informing the police, Alan Tilbury reports.

Family aware

They have now identified the man as Graeme Hill, with his family having been made aware.

It was discovered he was a local man, aged 60, and after enquiries there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
