AS IF it was not enough having the recent three stoppages, comes warning that the Rufford Branch is now closed.
Due to an 'issue' with a gate post on Lock 2, locks 1 and 2 were padlocked yesterday, Thursday, and will remain so, Keith Gudgin reports.
Safety of customers
Canal & River Trust do not tell of the actual problem, only that there is an issue with the post and that the locks have been closed 'for the safety of our customers'.
There is to be a further inspection next week.
