Tripboat crews wanted

WITH so many trip boats in operation Chesterfield Canal Trust often need new crews.

If you live in the area, a boater or not, and fancy spending time working a trip boat on the Chesterfield Canal, here is your chance.

Taster session

There is a taster session today, Friday, at Tapton Lock (S41 7JB), but as rather short notice, another taster session will be held next Friday the 13th September, taking place from from 10am to 2pm.

Prospective crews can talk to some of the existing skippers and crews, take a trip on a boat and see what it is like operating the locks, looking after the passengers and steering a boat.
