Wolverley landslip unstable

THE landslip that closed the Staffs & Worcs in March has proved unstable due to the excess of rain.
The constant rain over the past few days has caused movement in the landslip above Wolverley locks and brought spoil and vegetation into the waterway causing a partial blockage, Keith Gudgin reports.
The photograph shows the original landslip.
Restrictions
There are restrictions now in place as the waterway needs to be dredged and boaters are being asked not to moor anywhere near the area in case there is a further landslip.
An inspection is to be made daily at around 8.30am and if deemed safe, boaters will be allowed to proceed.
