PARAMEDICS were able to revive a man who had been dragged from the Dudley No 2 Canal.

The man was seen in the water just outside Gosty Hill Tunnel and the emergency services called, Alan Tilbury reports.

Dragged out

He had been dragged out of the water by a member of the public and though unconscious was revived by the paramedics giving advanced life support at the scene and then taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he had been in a critical condition.

However he eventually regained consciousness and was able to identify himself, but not how he came to be in the canal.

However the police do not regard it as its concern.
