This week's first closure

THIS week's first canal closure was yesterday, Tuesday, but will it beat the record of six last week?

Needless to say it is once again on the Kennet & Avon Canal, this time it is two in one, as two locks need attention.

Closed

The waterway is closed to enable Canal & River Trust to investigate the bottom gates at Brimslade Lock (53) and a blocked paddle hole at Heathy Close Lock (52), Keith Gudgin tells us.

But once again it is being attended to quickly, with a promise that the canal will re-open tomorrow, Wednesday, morning.
