Email: Learn from history

So CaRT will be using bog mats and dumper trucks to access the work area. This begs the question how much greater volumes of spoil were moved out and building material moved in when canals were constructed?

Did they have the same restrictions? Of course there is a difference in the construction between the mainly manual methods of the early canals and the mechanical methods of the later canals. Perhaps they had access to adjacent land?

Is there anything for CaRT to learn from history?
