Work on the Lancaster

WORK is now underway at Hest Bank at Bolton-le-Sands on the Lancaster Canal, Graham of Penny Piece tells us.
His picture was taken a few days ago showing all the equipment, which he thought boaters would like to see how bank work is sometimes carried out.
However, he did note the complete absence of anyone doing any work but assumed they had gone home suffering exhaustion! And wonders if those splendid gangplanks were still there next day!
