There will be just four places out of the 40 for representatives for boaters, the rest being taken up by chairmen of the 11 regional Waterway Partnerships, and others representing such as angling, nature and conservation.  The Council 'is responsible for the appointment of Trustees, helps to shape policies and provides guidance and perspective to Trustees'.
