Vandalised trees closes canal

THE Canal & River Trust advise that the Worcester & Birmingham Canal is closed at Tolladine Lock, North of Worcester.

The reason given is that 'a number of trees have become unsafe due to overnight acts of of vandalism'.

It is now in the hands of contractors, but no date is given as to when the waterway will be reopened.
