Boat fire in marina

A NARROWBOAT caught fire very early on Monday morning at a new luxury holiday marina on the Stort, with the boat burnt-out.

Firefighters managed to douse the boat fire at Roydon Marina Village at around 2am. It had no occupants, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Development

Roydon Marina Village was opened recently in conjunction with the hire of lodges set in a country park, with the marina having 300 berths, and is currently undergoing a multi-millions pounds development.

The cause of the fire is not yet know, but Essex Fire Brigade is investigating.
