Injecting foam to stem leak in Leeds & Liverpool Canal

THE Canal & River Trust is using urethane foam to stem a leak in the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

The leak opposite Arley Golf Course near Wigan had been gradually increasing but at the moment workers are repairing this leak after a small dam has allowed them to drill the bank, Dugald Campbell reports.

Apparently, they are drilling holes in the canal bank and injecting urethane foam, with Dugald stating that it will be interesting to see how this works.
