Kings Orchard back on track

THE marina that was started some three years ago on the Coventry Canal, is back on track, with its first phase opening scheduled for Monday 3rd June next year.

Owners of Kings Orchard Marina state that in June there will be berths available for 40 narrowboats, with prospective moorers on its waiting list being invited to the marina prior to opening for a private viewing and the chance to select their preferred berth, Ralph Freeman reveals. (His photograph shows the entrance bridge that was recently installed.)

Services

Full services will be available, using one of the two proposed facility buildings, with water and electricity available at each berth, though with problems with electricity supply, this might have to be provided by generators.

The second phase at the marina, which involves the construction of the remaining berths, will take place at a date to be announced, but is expected to cause minimal inconvenience to existing moorers in view of the layout.

We are told there will be Gold Service private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi service and electric gates eventually.

The owners stress they are sorry for the delay in opening, but believe the marina will set new standards of comfort and security.
